I am so glad you are here!

I know what you are going through!  My name is Dixie Mehrens. I was diagnosed with Crohn's in 2011 but have had a whole list of my own chronic health challenges to overcome such as:

  • Weight challenges
  • Insomnia
  • Food sensitivities and intolerances
  • Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth, SIBO - twice
  • Infertility & miscarriage
  • Heavy metal toxicity
  • Hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's

  • Dental problems - these go hand-in-hand with autoimmunity
  • HPA-Axis Dysfunction
  • EBV reactivation
  • Peri- and post-menopausal symptoms

I have been through alot and that is just to name a few! Did I mention the brain fog and fatigue?! And YET I was able to overcome these and feel better and more energized today than I did when I was younger! And, you can too! It takes patience, persistence, and dedication to your health. But it is worth it and I can help support you along the way!

I specialize in implementing the Autoimmune Paleo protocol, AIP. This is a process where certain foods are removed for a period of time and then individually reintroduced to determine if they are causing inflammation and unwanted symptoms for you. To learn more about AIP, click here.

Food sensitivities and gut health are imperative to overall health.  I guide you through implementing it successfully through private, one-on-one coaching sessions.  Each week you will work through educational modules to establish a foundation of knowledge. We will also meet online to discuss the material and any challenges you faced in making your chosen diet and lifestyle changes. Reboot with AIP 

The Autoimmune Protocol, AIP, is a scientifically proven and medically tested type of elimination diet to help one discover food sensitivities that may be contributing to their symptoms. The idea is to remove common foods known to negatively impact those with autoimmunity for a short period of time to see how this impacts symptoms. Many have achieved clinical remission of symptoms within just six short weeks of implementing AIP.

Reboot with AIP is implemented over one-on-one sessions held consecutively for 8-weeks. I will personally guide and support you as you implement AIP OR make the specific changes that have been recommended from your health provider.

You may implement as much of AIP as you or your practitioner have determined is appropriate. Even if you aren't ready to do the full AIP, you can begin where you are ready.

Along the way we will work on mindset, goal setting, discuss wins and challenges. Together we will navigate solutions and I can personally answer your questions and concerns as you begin transforming your health with food, faith and Functional Medicine principles.


In this Reboot with AIP Individual Health Coaching Program you will:

  • Successfully navigate the AIP protocol and discover your specific food sensitivities.
  • Gradually work your way into the full AIP protocol (or only implement your practitioner's recommendations)
  • Progress in how you eat, move, manage stress, or in your sleep habits so you can be in less pain, feel energized and take back control of your health.
  • Work through reintroducing foods methodically - this is the trickiest part for most people.
  • Finally push past the thoughts and barriers holding you back.
  • Discover tips and tricks in meal planning, cooking and prepping techniques.
  • Understand why the body won’t release weight until inflammation is lowered.
  • Learn which hormones play a role and how to influence hormones naturally.
  • Identify toxins that are contributing and better understand how detoxification really works.
